Abstract | |
A method of reducing moisture content and surface roughness in palm stem veneer by feeding the veneer parallel to the grain direction into an automatic roller press comprising two die cast counter-rotating metal press rollers aligned parallel in length, with specific hydraulic pressure, roller speed and gap between rollers. The veneers are then conveyed into a drying chamber comprising an infrared heating chamber to fix the condition of the surface of the veneers. The apparatus of the above-mentioned is disclosed. | |
